Live Tweet Experience!

The live tweeting experience was exiting, as well as difficult. I had to go to a second event just to get it right. The first event I went to was a live band at the gardens of the union. I found myself forgetting to use hashtags and misspelling words. Its hard to tweet professionally, because it seems like such an unprofessional platform, as well as all the noise and people around you.

I chose to do the promotional stance on tweeting, mostly because I figured that I would accidentally promote if I was to do the journalistic approach. It also just made sense to promote live bands than to just get the news story. I really enjoyed watching the bands and having a reason to be there watching the bands. I didn’t like being at the event by myself, and talking to strangers so I could get quotes in my live tweet. What supersized me was that live tweeting is actually pretty hard, I have never tweeted before this, but there is some thought that goes into tweeting for sure. If I were to have done things differently, I would have practiced live tweeting several times beforehand so I could have gotten the hang of it. In the future, I could see myself using social media to promote events. If i had a job where I was in charge of events for say a college, social media would be the best means as far as getting a turn out!
